Look at me, I'm Dr. Zoidberg... homeowner!
So once upon a last year, my computer's power supply crapped out and then once I got it fixed, we decided to buy a house and then we did and moved and had to do all sorts of home repairs and we're still settling in. First time home owners in a nutshell. Well, a house.
It's been a while and I DO miss doing comics, but they all had to be suddenly dropped so I didn't kill myself stressing out with all that was going on (also, we had a relative and a boyfriend living on our couch in a tiny apartment up until we moved, too, so I had no time to myself. I was stressed out entirely).
They are coming back!
Tragically, though, I've decided I just can't do Eat The Roses as is anymore. I had hoped a relaunch would do it, but this comic just has too much baggage of the crappy writing and crappy art variety. It was my starter comic and I learned a lot from doing it, but I can't stick with a ship where the hull is folded paper, even though I rigged up this awesome mylar sail, to phrase it in incoherent metaphore.
But I can't abandon it, either, because I love these characters and I love the wackiness. So something else will happen. In the meantime, I am drawing new
Vigilante Ho's and will post 'em when I have a good enough buffer. Trout's given me some fantastic new scripts and I'm excited. Mostly because I finally got a new computer where I can work in high resolution with my tablet and never have to wait for the machine to keep up with my hands.
Thanks for all the emails and notes, even if I've been too busy to answer. I feel really awful about dropping things like this, especially since I hate when other creators do the same to things I like to read. Also, I have no idea if my darling husband, Frank (aka Damonk), will ever get hisself around to doing some more
Framed, since I miss his comic, too. I bug him myself, don't you worry!
